The evening began with a presentation Using photoshop to repair damaged photographs, followed by BSMUG's annual planning meeting. Decisions reached for BSMUG activities and organisation for the coming 12 month period:
- Themes for meetings will alternate each month between Mac Beginner and Mac Avanced presentations that aim to be no longer than 30 mins. All Mac users, beginners or otherwise, are welcome each month where the opportunity still exists for members to access the help-desk and participate in smaller informal discussion groups/networking.
- A door prize (free lucky draw for full-members only) will be given away each meeting. This does not replace other presentation events where raffles, prizes and give-aways will be offered from time to time.
- Key admin roles defined as Meeting Coordinator, PR (newsletter, website, etc.) and Accounting are recognised as sharable roles/tasks to be filled by 3-4 people for a minimum 12-month term. The commitment to these roles will be acknowledged and rewarded.
The admin positions were filled by 3 people for the coming July 07 to June 08 period, leaving an opening for one more willing person. The groups plans to draw up a calendar of activities in advance, and are encouraging members interested in presenting to step forward. Requests have been made for presentations on iSight (webcams), Skype (voice over internet), Scanning techniques, Printing and PDFs, for starters. Get your suggestions in asap!

This was a very constructive meeting and Kerry's presentation was quite informative.
